- Dentons M&A Team of the Year (2019): Part of the award-winning Dentons M&A team recognised at the African Legal Awards for advising Barloworld on the landmark Khula Sizwe empowerment transaction.
- Cheeky Media Group: Advised on the production of the feature film “Cop and a Half”, including negotiating a subscription-on-demand deal with Amazon Prime, a first-of-its-kind in the South African action-comedy space.
- Avicanna Inc.: Advised the Canadian biopharmaceutical company on the acquisition of a South African medical cannabis business, including leading the due diligence investigation and drafting/negotiating the shareholders’ and subscription agreements.
- Amethis II Management S.à r.l. / Amethis Fund II S.C.A SICAR: Advised on the equity acquisition in Avacare Global (Mauritius GLB1), coordinating a multi-jurisdictional due diligence across more than five countries and negotiating the shareholders’, subscription, and share sale agreements.
- Startupbootcamp (2019 cohort): Advised the top 11 start-ups in the accelerator programme on restructuring and establishing offshore holding companies in Delaware, Mauritius, and the United Kingdom, enabling them to attract international investment.
- Local Food Manufacturing Restructuring: Advised on the group restructuring of a South African food manufacturing business to achieve tax efficiency and compliance, including realignment of shareholding and operational structures.
- Dose & Co: Prepared a formal legal opinion on the regularisation of complementary products in South Africa, advising the international wellness and nutrition brand on market entry and compliance with the country’s medical and product regulatory framework.
