Bob Groeneveld is a Director and Head of the Commercial Department at Fairbridges Wertheim Becker. Admitted as an attorney in 1998, Bob has extensive experience advising on corporate transactions, regulatory matters, and commercial law issues for a wide range of domestic and international clients.

His practice covers mergers and acquisitions, structuring of Black Economic Empowerment transactions, joint ventures, company law compliance, regulatory matters in sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, and the petroleum industry, and tax law advisory. Bob regularly acts in high-value due diligence processes, environmental audits, and commercial deal structuring.

Bob obtained his B.Com and LLB from the University of Stellenbosch, followed by an LLM (cum laude) from the same institution. Over his career, he has built a strong commercial practice at Fairbridges Wertheim Becker and holds leadership roles within the global legal network TerraLex.
