Anne Boag is a consultant at Fairbridges Wertheim Becker, with a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades. Admitted as an attorney and conveyancer in 1983 and as a Notary Public in 1985, Anne specialises in property law, providing expert guidance on the transfer and registration of immovable property and related notarial matters.

Her expertise includes the transfer of freehold and sectional title properties, deceased estate transfers, transfers for local authorities, deeds searches, and the preparation of Conveyancer’s Certificates. She drafts agreements of sale for both sectional title and freehold transactions and drafts and registers notarial bonds and servitudes. Anne also handles the opening of township and sectional title registers, certificates of registered title, consolidated title, and amendments of general plans.

Known for her exceptional technical knowledge and methodical approach, Anne acts primarily for private clients, ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely processing of property transactions.

Career

Anne holds BA and LLB degrees from the University of Cape Town. She served as President of the Cape Town Attorneys Association (1996–1998) and was a committee member from 1988 to 2010. She also contributed significantly to the Cape Law Society as a member of the Property Law Committee and the Cape Town Deeds Office Liaison Committee until 2010.

Anne played a key role in the legal education space, having served as an examiner and convenor for the Cape Town Notarial Examination until 2010.
